Things Fall Apart Chapter 1 & 2
ok so far I have read the first two chapters of Things Fall Apart. I am not sure if I like the book yet or not, I'm not far enough into it to know. I think the author did a good job at describing Unoka at the beginning of the story. He seems like a nice guy, but I feel bad for him because he was poor. I think it is kind of weird that his son has three wives? I would feel pretty weird if I had to live with my husband and two other wives.

Make sure you make an entry for EACH chapter, explaining things you've read. If you read 2 chapters, then you should have 2 entries. You get points for having as many entries as chapters. You also get points depending on the length and detail to each of your entries.
Think of this book as a bunch of short stories. Each chapter tells you about daily life in the tribe. I'll be honest and say that I hate the ending of this book. That said, it gives you a pretty accurate perspective of what Western Africa tribal life is all about.
Mr. Farrell
So far I have only read the first two chapters of the book, and so far I like the novel. I think that the novel is going to lead into an action, suspenseful story, and those are the kinds of books I like to read. Though I do agree that having three wives would be pretty weird.
Ha, I don't feel bad for Unoka one bit. I think he had everything he got coming to him. I do agree about the wife comment, though. I wouldn't want to share my wife with two other guys.
I don't feel bad for Unoka at all, if he wasn't so lazy then maybe I might feel bad for him. Also, he owed so many people money and he really didn't make an effort to pay anybody back. I also agree with you on the three wives thing, this tribe is saying that it is a good thing to have more wives I just think it would be really weird.
